2022 Florida General Election: Over 90 percent of Holmes County voted red
The 2022 General Election results are in. Republican candidates captured the support of over 90 percent of Holmes County voters in each statewide race.
Senator Marco Rubio took 6,148 votes, or 90.83 percent, in the race for United States Senator. Democratic candidate Val Demings received 556, or 8.21 percent, of the vote.
Congressman Neal Dunn captured 6,146 votes, or 91.13 percent, in the race for Representative in Congress District 2. A total of 598 voters, or 8.87 percent, of Holmes voters supported Democratic candidate Al Lawson.
Gov. Ron DeSantis and Lieutenant Gov. Jeanette Nunez received 6,211, or 91.62 percent, of the vote. Democratic candidates Charlie Crist and Karla Hernandez took 553 votes, or 7.86 percent, of Holmes votes.
Attorney General Ashley Moody took 6,206 votes, or 92.04 percent. Democratic candidate Aramis Ayala pulled 537 votes, or 7.97 percent.
Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis captured 6,133 votes, or 92.03 percent. Democrat Adam Hattersley totaled 537 votes, or 7.97 percent.
Wilton Simpson captured 6,133, or 91.32 percent, of the vote to be Floridas next Commissioner of Agriculture. Democratic candidate Naomi Blemur received 583, or 8.68 percent, of the vote.
Jay Trumbull took 6,125 votes, or 91.19 percent, of the vote for State Senator District 2. Democratic candidate Carolynn Zonia took 592 votes, or 8.81 percent.
