Two victims in fatal Esto house fire identified
Two people who died in a structure fire in Esto have been identified.
Holmes County Sheriff John Tate said the call came in at 8:15 the morning of Jan. 26 from a neighbor who had driven past the property at 1329 Beaver Dam Road and saw that a home had completely burned overnight.
Tate said two occupants in the block building had perished in the fire. The victims have been identified as 53-year-old Millard Adrian Ellenburg, who was known to live at the address, and a female victim, Tammy Hillman, from Mississippi. The medical examiner used dental records to make a positive identification.
Investors could tell at the scene that the couple had been using space heaters in the home, but the official cause of the fire is still under investigation by the Florida State Fire Marshal.
