It’s almost tee time: 16th annual Holmes Chamber golf tournament slated for St. Patrick’s Day

Registration is open for the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce’s 16th Annual Golf Tournament, a favorite event with cash prize money up for grabs.  

The tournament is Friday, March 17 at Dogwood Lakes Golf Course. It will be a four person team scramble (one flight) with a registration fee of $300 per team which includes 18 holes, golf cart and gift bags. The deadline for registration and payment is March 13 with checks payable to the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce. Registration and payment may be completed at 106 E. Byrd Ave. in Bonifay. 

The first place team will pocket $1,000, second place will take $600 and third place will be awarded $400. Perhaps the luck of the Irish will rub off on one player that could take a $10,000 prize for making a hole-in-one. Mulligans are $10 each or $25 for three with a max of three per golfer.

– Other Hole-in-One Sponsors: $150 (three available)

– Longest Drive Sponsor: $150

– Closest to the Pin Sponsor: $150

– Tee Box Sponsor: $50 (18″ x 24″ business sign)

– Door Prize Sponsor: Gifts, gift certificates or cash donations

– Gift Bag Sponsor: Promo items, snacks, other donations

Players may register at 11:30 a.m. on the day of the tournament, and tee time is at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start.

The tournament is being held in conjunction with Bonifay’s Down Home Street Festival which is Saturday, March 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Veteran’s Memorial Park.
