HOLMES COUNTY, FL – On June 18, 2024, a traffic stop conducted by a deputy from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) led to the discovery of methamphetamine and related paraphernalia. The incident occurred at the intersection of Highway 183-A and Alford Road following a traffic violation.

The driver, identified as John Lawniczak, consented to a search of his vehicle during the stop. The deputy discovered a sunglass case on the driver’s side floorboard containing methamphetamine pipes and over 14 grams of methamphetamine.

John Lawniczak was immediately arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
