Teens visit court to observe trial

Local teens got to witness the court system in action when they watched an actual court case, courtesy of local court and law enforcement officials. [CONTRIBUTED]

Holmes County Teen Court participants were invited by Holmes County Chief Prosecutor, Jacob Cook, to observe an actual case being brought before Judge Russell Roberts.   

The students were able to observe jury instructions and evidence presented by the prosecution.  During break, Cook was able to answer questions the students had. 

Holmes County Clerk Of Court and Comptroller, Sam Bailey, greeted the students and informed them of some of the procedures of the court. The Teen Court was then treated to Pizza Hut by Sheriff John Tate.
