Waukesha Way is partnering with various businesses and organizations in Holmes County to meet the needs of local students with free school supplies. On Saturday, August 3, the Back 2 School Bash event will begin at 9 a.m and end once supplies are gone.
Last August, the Back 2 School Bash provided many backpacks along with supplies to 500 students in the community. “Among our new supporters is the Education Foundation. Thanks to them, participants can expect an even more exciting event this year,” said Waukesha Way’s board member, Mary Medina. Families can enjoy the free inflatable play and giveaways from local sponsors after picking up the students’ supplies.
Additionally, pre registration is not required. Students can receive their backpack and supplies on a first come first served basis.
“This event would not be what it is without our entire community coming together to serve the students,” said Medina. The Back 2 School Bash will be located at the softball field beside Bonifay’s Memorial Field.
