Hello, I’m Harry Bell, Holmes County Tax Collector, your proven and friendly public servant. It is an honor and privilege to be your public servant since January 1, 2005. 

I am humbled by the trust that the citizens of Holmes County bestowed upon me in the elections of 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020. 

As your public servant my number one mission has been to be fully accessible, approachable, and available. I believe in being honest, fair, kind, dedicated to friendly service and available 24/7. I am a civic, community and church leader.

My educational qualifications for tax collector are:

Associates in Arts (AA) degree from Chipola College

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Administration from Troy University

Graduate of The Florida School of Banking

Florida Department of Revenue-Certified Florida Collector (CFC)

My service experience I offer to the citizens of Holmes County:

37 years of customer service dedication,

17 years as a community banker

20 years as your tax collector

I have created innovative partnerships to keep and increase services such as driver license and concealed weapon permit processing and I will continue to innovate and create opportunities/partnerships for better and additional local service for the citizens of Holmes County.

During my first 19 years as your tax collector, I have returned to the Board of County Commission $150.254.49, an average of $7,908.13 per year, while operating, improving and adding local service, equipment and office function.

 Thus, proven results in leadership, customer service, budget, staff management, computer management and creativity. 

Service in action…. This is what I have accomplished and continue to offer to the citizens of Holmes County.
