New music, art festival coming to Ponce de Leon

Music, art, and community is coming to The Original Vortex Spring in Ponce De Leon next month. 

Sol Fest, a multi-day festival of electronic dance music (EDM) and immersive arts, will take place over May 2-5. Scheduled performers include ALLEYCVT, Break Science, DEADCROW, and Manic Focus. 

Featuring three unique custom stages known as the Mind, Body, and Sol Stage, attendees can expect energetic performances enhanced by cryogenics, pyrotechnics, fireworks, and lasers.

Sol Fest aims to celebrate creativity in all forms. From larger-than-life murals and installations to holograms and waterscreen shows, the festival will be something different for Holmes County. Attendees can also engage in tie-dying, body marbling, and more during Sol Fest.

In addition to the entertainment, Sol Fest will also have healing workshops designed to enhance wellness. Meditation, breathwork, sound healing, and yoga sessions will be led by experienced practitioners offering new ways to find inner peace and balance amidst the festival excitement.

Sol Fest is named after and will pay tribute to Quentin “Sol” Rupp, a beloved member of the festival community who passed away at a young age. Sol Sunday will feature a memorial segment, including an interactive sun lantern effigy burn, an annual memorial slideshow, and other heartfelt tributes to honor Sol’s memory.

The festival is expected to have over 50 food, merchandise, and craft vendors onsite.
