On July 10, deputies from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of stolen items from a storage shed located on Sod Road. Several items were stolen, including a .357 handgun.
An Investigator with the HCSO, through witnesses and evidence, identified Nicholas Nixon as the individual responsible for the theft.
As a result of the investigation, warrants were obtained for Nixon on charges of burglary and grand theft. On August 24, Nixon was arrested on these warrants.
“The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office will continue to work diligently to bring justice to those affected by crime in our community,” said Sheriff Tate. “We encourage residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to law enforcement.”
