On July 10, 2024, deputies from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) were conducting patrols in the Ponce de Leon (PDL) area when they attempted to stop a dirt bike lacking a license plate. The driver, however, failed to comply, initiating a pursuit.
The chase proceeded westward on Highway 90, continued down Highway 10-A, and then onto Highway 183-A, eventually crossing into Walton County. The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody on Coy Ellis Road in Walton County.
Upon inspection, it was discovered that the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the bike had been tampered with. The driver was identified as Jennifer Blair. Blair was subsequently transported to Walton County Jail and faces multiple charges, including fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement, reckless driving, possession of a vehicle with an altered VIN, operating a motorcycle without the necessary endorsement, and failure to register the vehicle.
