STAFF REPORT
Deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) arrested three individuals on December 13, following an investigation on Gainey Lane.
Deputies arrived at the address to locate Angel Hundley, who had active warrants out of Holmes County. Upon arrival, the homeowner informed deputies that Hundley had stepped outside to smoke a cigarette prior to their arrival.
A search of the property led deputies to locate Hundley and Jeffery Garrett hiding in a vehicle in the yard.
Hundley was taken into custody without incident. However, deputies observed a pistol fall from Garrett’s lap and another firearm on the floorboard at his feet. Garrett refused to comply with commands and was forcibly removed from the vehicle before being detained.
Further investigation revealed a scale with methamphetamine lying on it in plain view inside the vehicle, as well as a methamphetamine pipe and several plastic baggies, one of which contained methamphetamine.
Deputies also located a wallet belonging to Amie Glorit in the back seat, which contained a plastic bag with methamphetamine. Glorit claimed she had found the meth and intended to throw it away.
As a result of the investigation, all three individuals were arrested and charged as follows:
Jeffery Garrett with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and resisting arrest without violence.
Angel Hundley with active warrant, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Amie Glorit with possession of methamphetamine.
All three individuals were transported to the Holmes County Jail.
