A stolen four-wheeler reported missing from Curry Ferry Road was recovered before a Holmes County deputy could even arrive to take the report, thanks to prompt coordination between the Holmes and Walton County Sheriff’s Offices.

According to a release from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), investigators were notified by Walton County deputies of an abandoned four-wheeler located just across the county line. After further examination, authorities confirmed the vehicle matched the one recently reported stolen out of Holmes County.
The suspect has been identified as Christopher Allen Kirk. Investigators are currently pursuing an arrest warrant for grand theft in connection with the case.
