My heart and my roots run deep in our community. I have been a resident of the city since 1972. After graduating from Holmes County High School, I served in the National Guard for many years, earning the rank of E-5. I have owned and operated a business in Bonifay for over 20 years. I believe my professional and political experience, and a deep conviction for truth and transparency, make me a qualified candidate to serve as your next councilman.
I served on the City Council from 1996 to 2004, and again from 2007 to 2009. During that time, I worked to promote business growth and jobs in our city, while maintaining the simple way of life we all enjoy. I also served on the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Chipola Regional Workforce Board.Â
A rising tide raises all ships, and I believe that when businesses grow, our quality of life improves. Our city is poised for growth in the near future, and I want Bonifay to be a place where kids can grow up, get a quality education, and find a job without having to travel far from home if they desire. I want to upgrade our outdated infrastructure by seeking grant funds and other partnerships. Our emergency services should be second-to-none, and I want to make sure they have all of the support and resources needed to serve you to the best of their ability.
My wife, Jennifer, and I have been married for 30 years. We have one son, Zachary, and daughter-in-law, Taylor. We believe in hard work, honesty and community service. Guided by our faith in God and love for this community, we promise to do what is best for Bonifay. I would be grateful for the opportunity to serve you as your next city councilman.
