BONIFAY – On August 28, an alert resident noticed someone in their neighbor’s home and called the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office where a burglar was caught in the act.
Deputies responded to the residence on Highway 90, where they found the suspect being held at gun point by the neighbor in the yard.
HCSO secured the suspect and identified him as Raymond Reid. Reid, according to HCSO appeared to be under the influence
A Bonifay Police Officer aided HCSO in clearing the residence where a shirt and items belonging to Reid were found. Deputies reportedly found an item from the residence in the yard as well.
The suspectÂ’s vehicle was stolen from a local business. Reid is charged with burglary, theft and grand theft auto.
