The Bonifay municipal election will be held Tuesday, March 22 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Bonifay City Hall.
Four candidates qualified last week for two contested races.
Vying for Seat 4, currently held by Rickey Callahan, will be Judy Powell and Chuck White. Callahan chose not to seek re-election this term.
Seat 2 incumbent Robert Urquhart will be challenged by James Russell.
Each seat is a two-year term.
Officials say they are hoping for a better voter turnout than in the last election.
Last year’s election saw only 252 of the city’s 1,486 registered voters – about 17 percent – cast ballots.
Bonifay City Hall is located at 301 J. Harvey Etheridge Road in Bonifay.
