Emergency responders are on the scene of a fatal crash at mile marker 110 in Holmes County.
According to law enforcement reports, the Holmes County Communications Center received a call at approximately 7:45 p.m. Thursday reporting a car traveling east in the west-bound lane of Interstate 10.
The car collided head-on with a semi truck, resulting in the driver of the car being ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on scene. The semi burst into flames; however, the semi driver reportedly did not suffer major injury.
I-10 is currently closed west bound from the 112 to the 104 mile marker with Bonifay Fire-Rescue still mitigating the fire inside the semi trailer.

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and is assisted on scene by Holmes County EMS, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office and Bonifay Fire-Rescue.
