Town of Esto announces 2026 Town Council Election

The Town of Esto will hold its 2026 Town Council Election on Monday, December 7, in accordance with the Town Charter, which requires municipal elections to be held on the first Monday in December.

Four of the town’s five council seats will be up for election in December:

Seat 1, Krystal Bien: Bien joined the Town Council in May 2026. The election will fill the remainder of the term, which expires in 2028.

Seat 2, Greg Wells: Wells was elected in 2023 and currently serves as council president. His three-year term expires this year, and the seat will be filled for a new three-year term.

Seat 3, Christopher Burghoff: Burghoff was appointed to the Town Council in July 2026. The election will fill the remainder of the term, which expires in 2027.

Seat 4, Joshua Davenport: Davenport joined the Town Council in August 2025 and was later elected to complete the term ending in 2026. He currently serves as council vice president. The seat will be filled for a new three-year term.

The candidate qualifying period will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, October 26, and end at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 30. Candidates must submit all required qualifying documents to the town clerk during that period.

To qualify, candidates must be registered electors of the Town of Esto, have resided within the town limits for at least six months, and meet all other applicable legal requirements.

Candidate information packets, required forms, and filing instructions are available from the town clerk at Esto Town Hall.

Voting will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. CST on Monday, December 7, at Esto Town Hall, located at 3312 Second Avenue.

Town officials say that residents interested in seeking office are encouraged to obtain candidate packets before the qualifying period begins.
