A Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputy conducted a traffic stop March 25 on a vehicle driven by a juvenile on Highway 79.
During the stop, the deputy developed probable cause to search the vehicle. A search revealed a black backpack containing four quart-sized plastic bags of marijuana.
The juvenile driver and a passenger, identified as Arienana Johnson, told deputies they were traveling to Panama City to sell the marijuana. Deputies also located electronic scales and additional drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
Both individuals were taken into custody and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
