Waukesha Way helps Holmes County families prepare for new school year

Families across Holmes County gathered at Bonifay K‑8 on Tuesday, August 4, for Waukesha Way’s annual Back‑to‑School Supply Distribution, an event aimed at supporting students as they prepare for the new school year. The nonprofit organization thanked its sponsors, volunteers, and community partners for helping make the 2026 distribution a success. This year’s event operated as a drive‑thru, allowing families to pick up school supplies quickly and safely. Volunteers guided vehicles through the route, and the Holmes District School Board partnered with Waukesha Way to ensure families could collect both meal boxes and school supplies in one convenient stop. The organization expressed appreciation for the School Board’s support, noting that the collaboration helped streamline the experience for local families. Waukesha Way also extended gratitude to the families who attended, sharing that they were honored to play a small role in each student’s back‑to‑school season.
