Governor appoints Howard ‘Rusty’ Williams as Holmes County Supervisor of Elections

Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Howard ‘Rusty’ Williams as Holmes County Supervisor of Elections on Monday, August 21.

Williams, a Bonifay native, is a Permits Manager for the Florida Department of Transportation. He previously served as a Holmes County School Board Member and is the former President of the Bonifay Kiwanis Club. Williams attended Chipola College.

The position became vacant when Therisa Meadows retired on June 30 after serving Holmes County in various positions for 32 years. Meadows herself was appointed to the position in 2019.

Williams will hold the position until the 2024 election.
