My name is Taylor Wayne Russ and I am pleased to announce my candidacy for Holmes County Tax Collector. I’m 34 years old and happily married to my wife Chelsea Steverson Russ for 15 years. We have three kids together ages 14, 11, and five. I’m thrilled to embark on this journey of serving the community of Holmes County, with a strong passion for public service and a sincere desire to make a positive difference. I am dedicated to bringing new ideas and a fresh perspective to the role of Tax Collector. 

With over 15 years of customer service experience, I’ve developed a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service. During my six years working in a Tax Collector’s office, I’ve had the opportunity to handle a wide range of tasks that have directly impacted the community. I am deeply committed to making a positive impact and driving meaningful change in our community. Over the years, I have engaged in various community initiatives as a youth leader, coach, and mentor while instilling essential values such as teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship. I firmly believe that investing in our youth is synonymous with investing in our future. By empowering and equipping them with tools and values, we are shaping a generation that will lead our community toward a brighter tomorrow.

One of my foremost priorities as your next Tax Collector is to serve as a representative for the entire county. I am dedicated to advocating for all of you, ensuring that not only are your concerns heard but also effectively addressed. That is precisely why my slogan is “Your Voice, Your Taxes, Your Choice.” I‘m here to work for you the people of Holmes County, and I genuinely believe that your input holds immense value. Together we can shape the future of our county. My vision is for our community to take pride in their interaction with local government offices.
