Upcoming golf tournament pays tribute to Holmes County student

The second annual Tyler’s Timeless Tournament will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14, in honor of deceased Holmes County High School student and golf athlete Tyler Erickson.

The event will take place at Dogwood Lakes Golf Course, 1934 Country Club Drive in Bonifay, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The tournament helps HCHS golf students through scholarships.

The event’s namesake, Tyler Erickson, was a HCHS senior who played golf and died shortly before his 18th birthday who was found dead in a golf cart from a suspected heart attack or blood clot in 2022, according to WMBB.

Tyler’s Timeless Tournament is a two-person scramble, with a $300 entry fee per team. Call 850-547-GOLF to register.
