Tourist development councils encourage residents to display historical items for documentary series

The reality television show ‘American Pickers’ documents the search for historical artifacts across America and is reportedly considering coming to Florida.

The tourist development councils for Washington, Holmes, and Jackson counties would like the show to come to the Panhandle and so is looking to talk to residents who might have items that could be featured in the series.

‘The show is looking for large, rare collections and things they have never seen before,’ a news release said. ‘The more interesting the story behind your collection, the better.’

Production is reportedly slated to hit Florida in January 2024.

‘The tourist development councils have recruited Billy Tinsley from T&B Hidden Treasures in Chipley to assist in assessing the documenting the locations for submission to the production company,’ the news release said. ‘If you are interested in being considered, please reach out to him at (850) 768-0272 to set up a site visit.’
