Georgia Fisanick, a 17-year-old senior at Holmes County High School, has been honored as the Student-Athlete of the Week by the Holmes County News sponsored by Jump Street Inflatables. A versatile athlete, Georgia competes as the outside hitter for the volleyball team and as a long jumper for the track team.
In addition to her athletic pursuits, Georgia is actively involved in various extracurricular activities. She is a member of the Key Club, Beta Club, Yearbook Club, and Future Farmers of America. Beyond school, she is also an active member of the Winterville Assembly of God.
Georgia is the daughter of Amy Sims Hewett and Michael Fisanick, who have supported her both academically and athletically throughout her high school career. Although undecided about whether she will continue her volleyball career at the collegiate level, Georgia has already set her sights on pursuing a degree in elementary education from Chipola College.
For her dedication to both sports and academics, Georgia Fisanick is a deserving recipient of the Student-Athlete of the Week honor.
Rayce Griffin, a senior at Holmes County High School, has been recognized as the Student-Athlete of the Week by the Holmes County News sponsored by Jump Street Inflatables. A talented two-sport athlete, Rayce excels as both the quarterback for the football team and the shortstop for the baseball team.
At 18 years old, Rayce’s athletic abilities and leadership on the field have garnered admiration from his coaches, teammates, and community. Outside of sports, Rayce enjoys spending his free time hunting and fishing, making the most of his rural Florida upbringing.
Rayce is the son of Alesha and Wesley Griffin, who have been instrumental in supporting his athletic career. As he looks ahead to his future, Rayce plans to continue his baseball career at the collegiate level but has not yet decided on which school he will attend. Alongside his athletic pursuits, he has chosen to study business in college, preparing for a successful future both on and off the field.
For his dedication and achievements, Rayce Griffin is a well-deserving recipient of the Student-Athlete of the Week honor.
