The 80th annual Northwest Florida Championship Rodeo starts Thursday and runs through Saturday, promising fans an action-packed weekend filled with heart-pounding rodeo excitement.
Gates open nightly at 5, with early activities starting at 5:30. Barrel racing, bull riding, team roping, and other rodeo events start at 7:30 p.m.
Each night, attendees will experience entertainment acts from the Texas Spirit Riders and famous Clydesdale horses. Professional rodeo announcer Andy Seiler is returning to narrate and make viewers laugh for hours along with rodeo clown John Harrison.
Community members and rodeo visitors are invited to line the streets of Waukesha with candy bags open ready for various law enforcement cars, fire trucks, and business floats during the Bonifay Rodeo Parade. There are two opportunities to see the parade: at 1 p.m. Friday and again at the same time on Saturday.
Several businesses and community members sponsor the NWFC Rodeo, with Bonifay Kiwanis Club volunteers contributing countless hours to produce the event.
The rodeo will be at Memorial Field on Veterans Boulevard in Bonifay.
