Baron Hall, an 18-year-old senior at Poplar Springs High School, has been recognized as the Student-Athlete of the Week by the Holmes County News. A multi-sport athlete, Baron has participated in golf for two years, varsity basketball for three years, and varsity baseball for six years, showcasing his versatility and leadership across all his teams.

Beyond sports, Baron is actively involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), where he demonstrates his commitment to leadership and service within the community.
Baron is the son of Brad and Amy Hall, who have been pivotal supporters of his athletic career. Looking ahead, Baron is considering pursuing his athletic career at the collegiate level, with options in both basketball and baseball. Additionally, he is contemplating a vocational path in HVAC or electrical work, highlighting his interest in skilled trades.

Elizabeth Lawson, a 17-year-old senior at Poplar Springs High School, has been honored as the Student-Athlete of the Week by the Holmes County News. A dedicated multi-sport athlete, Elizabeth has excelled in track, cross country, weightlifting, and varsity cheerleading during her high school career.
Elizabeth plays key roles in each of her sports:
Cheerleading: Base and flyer
Track & Cross Country: Competes in the 100m, 200m, 4x100m relay, and 400m events
In addition to her athletic endeavors, Elizabeth serves as the President of both the Senior Beta Club and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), demonstrating her strong leadership and academic involvement.
Elizabeth is the daughter of Wesley Lawson and Jennifer Rolling, who have been steadfast supporters of her academic and athletic pursuits. Although she does not plan to continue sports at the collegiate level, Elizabeth has set her sights on earning a degree in Secondary Education (grades 6-12) from Chipola College, where she plans to continue her dedication to learning and leadership.
