The 2024 Town of Esto Council Election has been scheduled for Monday, December 2. This election will determine council members for seats 1 and 3. Seat 1 is a one year remainder of 3-year term, while seat 3 is an open seat. From August 26 to August 30 at 5pm, qualifying packets and information are available to citizens at Esto’s town hall. Candidates must submit their qualification documents and campaign financial reports to the town clerk within this time frame.
Qualifications include residing within Esto town limits for the preceding six months, possess legal voter status in the town, and ensure that all payments owed to the town of Esto are current.
Town Clerk Ben Tew stated, “Several residents have picked up candidate packages and one person has turned in the forms to be a candidate but they have not finished their qualifying paperwork yet.” The town hall is open every day this week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for anyone that is interested in becoming a candidate.
Esto Town Hall is located at 3312 2nd Ave South in Esto.
