BONIFAY – A former law enforcement officer recently found
himself on the other side of the bars.
Holmes County SheriffÂ’s Deputies arrested Thomas Stubbs on
June 15 on charges of sexual battery on two juveniles. According to reports, Stubbs is accused of repeatedly fondling and molesting two girls last year.
The Department of Children and Families Child Protective
Team conducted forensic interviews on the two girls in October and reportedly uncovered a perpetual cycle of molestation endured by the juveniles for most of 2020.
According to an affidavit, Stubbs was interviewed
by HCSO Investigators and denied the allegations, stating there was never any inappropriate touching or behavior.
The State AttorneyÂ’s Office reviewed the case and issued a warrant
for Stubbs arrest earlier this week. Stubbs was released June 16 on $101,000 bond.
