Trial date set for William Shane Parker in murder case

HOLMES COUNTY – A trial date has been set for William Shane Parker after more than 18 months of continuances. 

Parker will come before the newly appointed Fourteenth Judicial Circuit Judge Russell Roberts to face charges stemming from the 2020 homicide of 51-year-old Raul Ambriz Guillen. Parker is charged with premeditated murder, abuse of a dead human body, and tampering with evidence. 

Parker’s co-defendants, Jeremie Odell Peters and Lauren Kay Wambles, have already been sentenced in the case. Peters received 20 years for his role in the murder while Wambles received 10 years.

Jury selection will begin on March 28, 2022 at the Holmes County Courthouse.
