NOMA – A tentative budget hearing was set for September 16 at 5:30 p.m. when the Noma Town Council met in regular session on August 2.
Council
voted to table a discussion concerning the renter of the house owned by
the town until the renter can be present at a meeting to discuss the
matter. The original agreement made in April included that in place of the full $400 for rent, the renter would make repairs to the home and do the mowing around Town Hall and the park and pay $200 for rent. It was
brought to the attention of the council that the renter was not covered
under the townÂ’s insurance and therefore was not covered to use their
equipment. A renegotiation of the contract is expected to be discussed at a future meeting.
Noma Town Council will meet again in regular session at 5:30 p.m. on September 6.
