BFD responds to multiple calls

BONIFAY – On Sunday afternoon, June 13, Bonifay Fire-Rescue was alerted to a reported residential structure fire inside the city limits on East North Avenue.  Fire crews arrived on scene and quickly determined the cause of a fire to be a faulty kitchen appliance. There was no damage to the home.

While on scene, an additional call came in through 911 to the Holmes County Communications Center for firefighters to respond to a hazardous situation on West Wisconsin Avenue.
A downed power line was located, as well as a home with roof damage due to a fallen tree.
