Let freedom ring: Community hosts Independence Day celebrations

HOLMES AND WASHINGTON COUNTIES – There was no shortage of fireworks in Holmes and Washington counties over the pre-July 4 weekend as several Independence Day events were hosted throughout the community.

Here are a few scenes from events hosted by the City of Vernon, Orange Hill Volunteer Fire Department, Leisure Lakes, Grace and Glory Worship Center, and Holmes County’s Panhandle Patriotic Celebration.
