By COLLIN BREAUXOfficials at Bonifay K-8 School are looking to get new playground equipment for the school, so they’ve come up with a creative way to raise money.
A Fun Run will be held Friday, March 8, on campus. Community members can pledge money per lap and can do so online.
“All proceeds raised will be going towards new playground equipment,” elementary Principal Tiffany Steverson said.
A school the size of Bonifay K-8 has never had “enough” playground equipment and administrators felt the run was a good opportunity to start raising money for such a need, Steverson said.
There will be popcorn and other fun features for the students, she said.
“We’ll make it a good opportunity for our kids,” Steverson said.
