On July 21, a Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputy attempted to perform a traffic stop on a Mustang traveling on Highway 2.
When the deputy initiated the traffic stop, the vehicle accelerated and began to flee. The pursuit continued into Jackson County, ending on Mill Creek Road where the vehicle came to a stop.
Jason Canen, the driver, was taken into custody without further incident. Canen is charged with fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement, and reckless driving.
