Holmes County law enforcement arrested a man on Friday after he allegedly made a threatening phone call to the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) following a court hearing involving his child.
According to a statement from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), Daniel Marble contacted the DJJ shortly after a judge ordered the detention of his juvenile child earlier that morning. A DJJ supervisor reported that Marble, upset with the court’s decision, called the office and stated he was “loading his gun and coming down there for them.” Concerned for their safety, DJJ staff reported the incident to HCSO.
HCSO deputies obtained a warrant for Marble’s arrest on the charge of intimidation via verbal threat to kill or injure. Marble was taken into custody without incident. During his arrest, Marble reportedly told deputies he “was just playing.”
Authorities have not released additional details about the case, and it remains under investigation.
