Empty Stocking Fund reaches 40th anniversary

One of the Panhandle’s signature fundraisers is having a 40th anniversary this year.

The Salvation Army’s Empty Stocking Fund-based in Panama City-officially begins soon.

‘Every dollar raised brings food, housing and other important services to those who need it most,’ a news release said. ‘The Panama City Corps Office serves six counties across the  panhandle including Bay, Washington, Holmes, Jackson, Calhoun and Gulf.’

The kickoff ceremony will be held on Thursday, November 9, at Bill  Cramer’s GM dealership on 23rd Street in Panama City. Donations can be mailed to the  Salvation Army Corps Office, 1824 West 15th Street, Panama City, FL 32401 or online here.
