Investigators with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) have recovered a stolen vehicle and arrested one suspect, while actively searching for two others in connection to the case.
January 22, during the snowstorm, HCSO reported that a vehicle became stuck on Tram Road in Ponce de Leon. Before the owners could retrieve the truck the following day, it was reported stolen. HCSO investigators immediately began working the case and identified two suspects responsible for the vehicle theft, as well as a third individual who attempted to use the owner’s debit card.
February 11, HCSO investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Jonathan Goff on charges of grand theft of a motor vehicle. According to the HCSO, Goff was located and taken into custody without incident.
Investigators have also obtained warrants for Todd Powell for Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Christopher Crober for Unlawful Possession of Personal Identification.
Powell and Crober are currently being sought by the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office.
