Fugitive apprehended, meth seized in Holmes County search

A wanted fugitive was taken into custody and drugs were seized following a law enforcement response to a residence on Beall Packing Road, according to a release from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office.

On June 10, 2025, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office responded to the location to investigate suspected narcotics activity and to serve outstanding felony warrants on Casey Atkinson.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the homeowner, identified as Waylon Lolley. Lolley initially denied that Atkinson was present but acknowledged knowledge of her active warrants. A probation officer from the Florida Department of Corrections, who was assisting on scene, observed Atkinson flee into a back room of the residence. She was quickly located and detained without incident.

Deputies obtained a search warrant for the property after developing probable cause during the encounter. The search led to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Lolley was arrested and faces multiple charges, including possession of methamphetamine, harboring a fugitive, and violation of probation. Atkinson was taken into custody on her outstanding felony warrants.

The investigation remains ongoing
