Holmes County High School head baseball coach Jeromy Powell has been named the Florida Dairy Farmers Rural Coach of the Year, recognizing his outstanding leadership during a championship season.
Powell guided the Blue Devils to a 26-4 record, including an undefeated mark against teams within their classification. The impressive campaign was capped off with the program’s second state title in four years—adding to Powell’s previous championship win in 2021.
With a solid group of returners, Powell says the focus is already on defending their title, stating the team’s goal is “another trip to Fort Myers next spring.”
