The City of Bonifay has launched a major stormwater and flood mitigation project in the downtown area, aimed at improving infrastructure near Banfill Avenue and Moody Street.
The project, a collaborative effort with DHM Melvin Engineering, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the Northwest Florida Water Management District, and Emerald Coast Site Construction, is part of the city’s long-term plan to reduce flooding and enhance stormwater management.
As work progresses, portions of West Banfill Avenue and Moody Street will be closed until further notice. City officials apologize for the inconvenience and assure residents that normal traffic flow will resume as soon as possible.
