The city of Chipley presented annual Longevity Service Awards at its Jan. 12 Council meeting. The employees received a certificate and $500 for their years of service. All City employees get $500 each time they reach a milestone of five years with the City. Receiving recognition were: 

25 years – Donald “Donnie” Finch, general services foreman with Public Works.

10 years – Jason Gavaller, fireman with the Fire department; and Janet S. Mitchell, finance clerk with Administration.

Five years – Chelsey L. Castro, corporal with the Police department; Brock A. Tate, recreation director with Recreation; and Jacob “Ryan” Thomas, patrolman with the Police department.
