According to a press release from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week will be observed from April 13–19. The agency is recognizing the contributions of its Communications Dispatchers, who play a critical role in public safety by coordinating emergency response and assisting both community members and first responders.
In observance of the week, the Sheriff’s Office has initiated a community appreciation effort titled “Adopt Our Dispatchers.” The initiative encourages local businesses and residents to participate by offering support to dispatch personnel.
Businesses are invited to contribute by donating meals, snacks, or small gifts. Community members may also participate by writing notes of appreciation or providing treats.
Those interested in participating or seeking additional information are encouraged to contact the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office by emailing [email protected] or calling 850-547-4421.
