The Holmes County Building Department, in coordination with the Holmes County Board of County Commissioners, unveiled a new decorative boot installation outside the Board of County Commissioners building in Bonifay prior to the regular board meeting on April 1.

The boot, commissioned and funded by Keith Bennett of the Holmes County Building Department, was designed and painted by local artist Brandi Jordan. The artwork reflects a creative interpretation of the Bonifay community.

The display stands atop a brick platform constructed using materials provided by Bonifay Mayor Larry Cook. The bricks were salvaged from the demolition of the former Ford building on Highway 90.

The installation is located along Waukesha Street and will remain permanently lit as a public feature outside the Board of County Commissioners office.
