Milton man arrested after chase

BONIFAY – A Milton man was arrested Sunday morning, September 5, after fleeing from deputies.

Holmes County SheriffÂ’s Department deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a black Ford Taurus at 2:30 am at the intersection of Boswell Road and Highway 177A. The vehicle refused to stop and fled south bound on Highway 177A at a high rate of speed.

A Bonifay Police Officer attempted to block the suspect, however he evaded them by driving onto the shoulder of the road and continued across Highway 79 and north on Highway 173.

The suspect, identified as Camrin Bass, 28, turned west onto Highway 160 and then back south on Williams Road where he eventually stopped at a residence.  According to HCSO, Bass refused to cooperate with deputies and began resisting arrest but was eventually taken into custody.
