Disturbance leads to drug arrest

Holmes County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a disturbance call at a residence on Highway 2, on February 26 which led to a Graceville man being arrested on drug charges.

HCSO made contact with the victim who stated that James Corbitt Jr., of Graceville, had threatened to burn his house down. A witness on scene verified the threat.

Corbitt was arrested and while being searched, HCSO discovered oxycodone pills in Corbitt’s pocket.

Corbitt, who was currently out on bond for a previous drug charge, is charged with assault and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
