County officials urge residents not to burn

According to Bay County emergency officials the Adkins Road Fore is 700 acres and three quarters of a mile wide and is currently between Tyndall Parkway and Highway 231 along Transmitter Road.

The fire is moving north/northeast.

In light of this information, Washington County emergency officials issued the following statement:

Dry air and lack of recent rainfall along with windy conditions supports an elevated fire weather concern in Washington County. Please refrain from any outside burning for the next several days.
