Emergency responders hold mock crash to educate students about drinking and driving

Students at Holmes County High School watched a live mock scenario of a drunk driving crash scene Friday, March 11, at HCHS.

Bonifay Fire–Rescue, along with Bonifay Police Department, Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, Holmes County EMS, Florida Highway Patrol and Sims Funeral Home worked with students from HCHS drama class to conduct a mock crash that demonstrated the dangers of drunk driving.

With spring break and prom approaching, officials believed this to be the best time for such an event.

The scene was conducted and treated in the same manner an actual scene, complete with all steps of emergency response.
