Down Home Street Fest has record year

Bonifay’s Down Home Street Fest set a vendor record with more than 75 exhibitors on hand for the event, held Saturday at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Bonifay.

Organizers say planned vendor spots sold out, and alternative spots were improvised to accommodate the overflow.

Vendors and services offered this year included food, retailers and other businesses, local government and health agencies, and children’s activities.

The event also featured carriage rides, a martial arts demonstration by Bonifay ATA Martial Arts, a car show presented by the Ponce de Leon Fire Rescue, and musical entertainment by Chad Douglas and the Luke Langford Band.

Down Home Street Fest is hosted each year by the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce.
