Crestview man charged with meth trafficking


A Crestview man is behind bars after falling asleep at the Dollar General on Highway 179 on June 4.

The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) was dispatched to the store after a call was received about a man asleep behind the wheel in the parking lot.

When deputies located the vehicle, they found William Colburn, of Crestview asleep with a glass pipe and torch lighter in his lap. Deputies were able to wake Colburn up. According to HCSO, Colburn told deputies that he was “just tired.”

A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and a large amount of methamphetamine was located in he front passenger seat.

Colburn is charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
