The Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) and the Florida Caribbean Regional Fugitive Task Force (FCRFTF) put two behind bars on June 16.
Information regarding the whereabouts of Jeremy Windsor, who is wanted for burglary, battery, and arson, was received by the agencies.
HCSO and FCRFTF members arrived at a residence on Gavin Road in Holmes County and spoke with the property owner, who gave consent to search the residence and barn. During the search, a female identified as Keaghan Paul, exited a room in the loft of the barn.
According to an HCSO release, when asked where Windsor was or when she had last seen him, Paul told officers that he was not there.
Ultimately, Windsor was located hiding behind a false wall in the same room. Found with Windsor were several items including a glass pipe with suspected burnt methamphetamine residue, and five prescription pills identified as Clonazepam.
Due to the construction of the false wall, it was determined that Windsor would not have been able to put the wall back in place after hiding and Paul was the only other adult present in the room.
Both Windsor and Paul were arrested. Windsor is charged with possession of controlled substance without a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia, in addition to the outstanding burglary/battery and arson charges. Paul, who is currently under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections, is charged with violation of probation and accessory after the fact – burglary/battery.
